Social Media Doesn't Need To Be Hard... A Note From Founder Christine Westbury

I’m sure you’ve seen those cheesy business quotes before — the ones that say “a year from now you’ll wish you had started today”, and “the secret to getting ahead is getting started”. As cheesy as they are, there is truth to it.

When it comes to planning and curating social media content, it pays to just get started - seriously, it’s gone in a heart beat so why not just give it a try? I can empathise with those of you out there who feel like they don’t know where to start. When I scaled and sold my previous business back in 2019, I realised just how much time and effort social media can take. I often found myself questioning if it was worth it – putting so much energy into curating three to five posts a week in the hopes that social media algorithms would favour my content and give me the results I wanted for my business. But through that journey, I learned that strategy + consistency + creativity = success.

So, if I were to give you any sort of advice, it would be this – make a plan and take action. Get started. Just do it. A plane that flies at 42.000 feet flies faster than a plane at 10,000 feet. Building a brand online is all about creating content that builds rapport, asserts your position as a leader or key industry player, and articulates your story — and social media is the way to do it. With a solid strategy in place and a consistent posting schedule, the sky really is the limit.
